He began his career in 1996 in the Structured Finance Division at Mediocredito Centrale (MCC), dealing with Aid credit financing, providing bank to Govt. credit lines in support of cooperation projects in developing countries on behalf of the Italian Co-operation and Development.

Subsequently, he joined Simest in 1998, in the Investment and Advisories Department, as senior analyst on equity financing for joint venture projects. From 2005 to 2009 he was Head of Business Scouting and Special Projects, within the Advisory dept. From September 2009 to January 2011, he was Chief of staff of the Vice Minister for Economic Development, responsible for internationalisation.

As a manager since 2011, he held the position of Head of Business Development & International Affairs dept. at Simest, with a particular focus on bilateral and multilateral
finance also in collaboration with European and international bodies (EU, EIB, EBRD, World Bank, IFC) and the development of projects on clusters and business combinations.

From 2019 to 2022 he was Head of Coverage Financial Institution at CDP Corporate, with the task of ensuring management and development of commercial and business relations with Italian financial intermediaries (banks, Regional financial Institution and guarantee funds), originating operations and by providing and structuring financial support to Institutional customers.

He is currently Head of the internationalisation unit at the Cabinet of the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, with a specific focus on international investments and financial instruments.
