Jos Dings currently consults companies and nonprofits on the EU’s Clean Industrial Deal, building on decades of experience in environmental and industrial policy in transport and energy.
From early 2017 to October 2024 he was Tesla’s Director for Public Policy and Business Development EMEA. In that capacity he co-led the search for Tesla’s European Gigafactory, and getting it permitted and built in two years. He also led efforts to accelerate EU and national level policies on sustainable energy and transport.
From 2004 to 2017 he was CEO of Transport & Environment, Europe’s leading advocates for transport & energy.
From 1994 to 2004 he led the transportation division at CE Delft, an influential environmental policy consultancy.
Education: Mechanical Engineering, Delft University of Technology.
