Born in Germany, Matthias is an alumnus of Ecole Nationale d’Administration (promotion Léon Gambetta) and holds Masters degrees from the University of Hannover (Germany) and Université Paul Valéry Montpellier (France). In 1997 he joined the European Investment Bank and spent a number of years in EIB’s Western Europe Department and was responsible for structured finance transactions, transport financing as well as securitization programs with partner banks. Since 2012 is the Head of Project Finance in North, Central, South-East Europe.
