A Technical Executive who has been active globally in Engineering, Projects, Consulting and Operations for 30 years. During this time, he has developed practical skills through operations and project expertise in areas that include design, commissioning, process optimisation, mine production management and consulting in technology, business, and process engineering.
Specialist expertise in Battery Mineral and Materials in both anode and cathode for Lithium ion and Sodium-ion batteries. Development of Battery Active Material (BAM) for use in energy storage systems including characterisation optimisation and end use applications.
Precursor Cathode Active Material (pCAM) and Cathode Active Material (CAM), processing, flowsheet development and project execution. Actively involved in technology development to improve material yields and overall cathode performance. Anode Active Material (AAM) covering an extensive range of materials including natural graphite, synthetic graphite, niobium, vanadium, and silicon. Graphite processing, testwork development, concentrator design and implementation, purification, shaping, coating and anode precursor development. Value stream development to enhance natural flake utilisation. Maximising use in a range of applications. Synthetic Graphite, development, shaping and coating, blended with Natural Flake to enhance anode properties. Synthetic Graphite sourced from CO2, BioChar and PetCoke. Graphite purification using caustic and acid treatment. Acid purification including Hydrochloric and Hydrofluoric acid. Experience handling of concentrate acid and managing dilution and distribution systems.
