Nicholas Lugansky is leading the mining and critical minerals business line at SLB. He brings more than 27 years of experience in the mining, petrochemical, and chemical industries. Prior to joining SLB, Nicholas spent a long career with the two largest EPC companies: Fluor and Bechtel. Throughout his career, Nicholas was involved in securing and delivering some of the largest and most challenging mining and metals, petrochemical, and chemical projects around the world. Today he is focused on finding technological solutions to bring sustainable technologies to the production of critical minerals to power the energy transition. One of these solutions is a direct lithium extraction flowsheet that he will be discussing today.
