Robert Winans leads fulfillment, strategic sourcing, purchasing and logistics at Panasonic Energy Co. North America, a Panasonic Group Company, a global leader in high-quality lithium-ion batteries. As the Vice President, Supply Chain, he develops strategic initiatives to promote a sustainable supply chain that supports the growth of Panasonic Energy of North America and leads to customer satisfaction.
Robert brings global experience to his current role overseeing supply chain management as he continues to integrate sustainability into Panasonic's supply chain through strategic partnerships with OEMs who share the same commitment in their business practices. He is responsible for implementing strategic regional warehouses and working with OEMs to reduce the environmental impact of shipping batteries and optimize purchasing experience and lead time.
Prior to joining Panasonic, Robert held senior executive leadership positions in supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement at global organizations including Electrolux, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Fiserv Incorporated. Under Robert’s leadership, he has developed and executed strategic supply chain transformation programs, orchestrated IT systems plans, digitized operations and more, leading to quarterly records for both shipment and EBIT.
Robert holds a B.S. in Business Administration from University of Nebraska–Lincoln and an Executive Education in Technology, Operations and Value Chain Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. A lifelong learner, he is also Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
