David Riposo directs business development for the Offices of Energy and Infrastructure at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. He leads practices focused on renewable power and critical minerals mining, and he has a special focus on Africa. Before joining the Development Finance Corporation, Mr. Riposo was a foreign service officer with the U.S. Agency for International Development where he led a team focused on off-grid energy access, health care facility electrification, and grid-tied renewable power project development in sub-Saharan Africa. At the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, Mr. Riposo helped U.S. clean energy businesses access new markets. Before joining the federal government in 2015, Mr. Riposo led clean energy engagements at top management consulting firms like Booz Allen Hamilton and Deloitte. He established a renewable energy consulting business in India and helped hundreds of wind and solar project developers define the pre-construction energy generation potentials of their projects.
