Stan Whittingham is a SUNY distinguished professor of chemistry and Materials Science and Engineering at Binghamton U. and an honorary Fellow of New College, Oxford. He is the 2019 Chemistry Nobel Laureate for the discovery of lithium rechargeable batteries. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and Fellow of The Royal Society. He presently is a lead on the DOE Battey500 consortium, was a member of Li-Bridge and presently leads the Battery-NY $100M economic development effort. He is on the leadership team of both NYBEST and NAATBatt.
