Expertise in a broad spectrum of industries including graphite mining and processing, lithium-ion and battery materials, fuel cells and hydrogen production, graphene and carbon nanotubes, synthetic graphite and carbon materials. Served as the CEO of Graphite and Carbon Division of Imerys SA and spearheaded investment program for Li-ion battery material for the EV markets. Hugues was an Independent Sr. Advisor to Northern prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer in June 2022.
