Mark Strauss is passionate about developing and commercializing electro-hydrometallurgical strategies for circular supplies of critical resources. As a post-doctoral fellow at Idaho National Lab, he developed recycling strategies for the processing of waste lithium batteries into saleable lithium, copper, manganese cobalt and nickel products. His PhD research investigated hydrometallurgical strategies for recycling fluorescent lights. He is commercializing new sustainable recycling operations at Aqua Metals.
