Mr. John DeMaio is the CEO of Graphex Technologies with responsibilities for the expansion of the business into the U.S. and Europe. Graphex is an experienced mid-stream processor of natural graphite into active battery anode material for EVs and other power battery applications. John has over 35 years of experience in executive leadership in the energy transition and infrastructure sectors including renewable generation, energy optimization, and electrification of infrastructure. From early work on the world’s first floating solar array to city-wide energy transformations to advanced waste-to-energy technologies to Energy AI at some of the most advanced facilities, and everything in between, John has been engaged in the energy transition long before the term was coined and is ever optimistic that we will achieve balance with our host planet. Previous positions include President, CEO, and Board Member of JouleSmart Solutions, General Manager of Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Vice President of Stantec, COO of Thompson Solar Technologies, and General Manager of SPG Solar. He holds a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University.
