Anass Hafnaoui is a chemical engineer. He obtained his Engineering diploma in Belgium, where he then also obtained a higher diploma in Engineering Sciences in Chemistry and Biotechnology.
Anass began his career as an Engineer in various industries such as Coca Cola and Chimac Agrifar before becoming a professor at the ‘Haute Ecole de la province de Liège’ (HEPL), the University of Liège (HEC) in Belgium, and the University of PAU in France.
In 2015, Anass Hafnaoui joined OCP Group as an Engineer in the R&D Center, at the Fertilizers’ Department, before joining the Research & Innovation Entity as a Stream Lead for Farmer Solutions program, where he manages a portfolio of projects related to agriculture and fertilizers.
From 2019 to 2023, Anass held the position of Head of the Innovation department.

At the start of 2024, Anass Hafnaoui was appointed:
- Head of FertExplorer, an entity within UM6P, in charge of creating new fertilizer formulations.
- Head of innovation of Specialty products & Solutions Business Unit within OCP.

Since July 2025, Anass Hafnaoui has held the position of Executive Coordinator of the College of Chemical Sciences & Engineering at UM6P.
