Mr. Khalid QALAM has extensive experience in C-Level roles within multinational automotive companies, where he has spent his career. From 1991, as Senior Project Manager at VALEO Group, he developed activities with Japanese car manufacturers (Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Honda) in Europe and Japan, and with Daimler Mercedes in the U.S.

He then spent 18 years at Magneti Marelli Group (Fiat Chrysler/Stellantis), holding roles including General Manager France, VP Sales & Marketing Worldwide, and Executive VP - Chief Technical & Marketing Officer, managing Sales & Marketing, R&D, Project Management, Business Development, Electronics, Planning, and Aftermarket, overseeing 2,500+ employees. In 2009, he became a Board member, and in 2011, President & CEO for Mercosur, leading 13 production units and 9,000 people in Brazil and Argentina.

In 2015, he was appointed by Minister Moulay Hafid Elalamy to manage Morocco’s automotive sector strategy, attracting hundreds of investments (including Stellantis), generating $15B in annual exports. He holds senior advisory roles with international companies and public entities (e.g., CDG Group).

On 1 Sept 2024, he became Chairman of Gotion Power Morocco SA, leading the region’s first Gigafactory. Moroccan-Belgian, 61, he is an Industrial Engineer from “Ecole Centrale des Arts et Métiers” in Brussels (1985) and speaks French, English, Italian, Portuguese, and Moroccan Arabic.
