Nicole Fasana is Investment and Trade Commissioner North East Asia for the
Government of Western Australia.
Nicole is the State Representative for the Government of Western Australia in
North East Asia and manages three offices in the region, Tokyo office, Kobe
office and Seoul office. Nicole leads the State’s strategy for engagement with
Japan and Korea. She and her North East Asia team work to attract investment
and increase trade into Western Australia from Japan and South Korea.
Nicole has over ten years’ experience in investment attraction and trade
promotion across multiple sectors and markets and has held a wide range of
roles in both state and local government. Nicole also has a strong background
in managing high profile projects and leading the development of government
programs and strategies.
Prior to entering the Western Australian public service, Nicole held several
positions in marketing and communications within the private sector.
Nicole has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Economics from The University
of Western Australia with majors in Economics, Asian Business and
Communication Studies. Although a proud Western Australian, Nicole is of
Japanese background and has language skills in Japanese.
