Ryan is a Director of Wave International, a consulting and project delivery firm with extensive exposure to the energy storage supply chain. Ryan’s first exposure to the sector was over 15 years ago, providing general engineering consulting to the Greenbushes mine. As the sector has grown, Ryan’s (and Wave’s) involvement in the supply chain has also grown. Ryan now collaborates with and consults to various companies (upstream and downstream) in the supply chain, looking for strategic opportunities and solutions to supply side efficiency and growth. Key recent experience includes the development of lithium hydroxide conversation capacity outside of China, integrated lithium chemical capacity in Europe and Canada, Natural graphite developments in Australia and Africa, UPSG capacity in Australia and Battery Anode Material capacity outside of China. Ryan is also involved in the study and development numerous Vanadium chemical projects, with a focus on the supply chain and cost efficiencies of electrolyte for redox flow batteries.
