Maria Rennie was appointed as His Majesty’s Consul General for Western Australia in July 2023. She has been a member of the British diplomatic service since 2002, working in over 25 British diplomatic posts overseas in a variety of roles. Most recently as the Deputy Consul General to the Midwest of the United States and as Head of the Crisis Training and Policy Team operationalising the UK’s response to over 35 international crises during a 5 year period.
