Madalina Ivanica is Deputy Head of Unit in the European Commission - Unit on Energy Intensive Industries and Raw Materials of the Directorate-General for Internal Market,
Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs since December 2022. She previously worked in the Directorate-General for Environment in the area of enlargement and accession negotiations and EU inter-institutional relations. Ms. Ivanica served also as Advisor to the Romanian Chief Negotiator for accession to the European Union and was Director of Studies and an Associate Professor in European Studies at the Maastricht University. Ms. Ivanica received a Ph.D. in economics and holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Psychchology.
