Zac Komur is a highly accomplished mining executive with over 25 years of global experience delivering complex resource projects across Australia, Africa, South America, and Europe. As a Director of Lindian Resources Limited and Chair of the company’s Project Delivery and Technical Committee, Zac is playing a central role in the development of the Kangankunde Rare Earths Project in Malawi—one of the most strategically important and advanced rare earth assets outside China.
Zac’s core expertise lies in project execution, operations, and technical delivery, having successfully led multi-billion-dollar mining and processing developments for BHP, Inpex, and Northvolt. He has a proven track record of bringing projects online safely, ahead of schedule, and above nameplate performance, with deep operational insight into hydrometallurgy, plant commissioning, process optimisation, and strategic infrastructure rollouts.
At Lindian, Zac is leading the fast-tracked execution of Kangankunde’s Stage 1 development, targeting production in 2026. His international experience and hands-on leadership are instrumental in aligning engineering, permitting, construction, and downstream strategy to ensure Kangankunde delivers into global supply chains with speed, transparency, and reliability.
Zac is currently spearheading discussions with downstream partners in North America to establish rare earth processing capacity aligned with U.S. and allied critical mineral strategies. He brings to Washington a delivery-focused perspective on how Lindian and its partners can rebuild resilient, independent rare earth supply chains through world-class execution and long-term collaboration.
