Dr. Busbee is co-Founder and CEO of Xerion Advanced Battery Corp, an emerging growth company that has developed and is commercializing advanced lithium-ion batteries, electrodes and critical minerals utilizing a new, manufacturing process. This new, one-step, molten salt process enables the use of lower purity starting precursor materials, drastically lowering processing costs and widening the scope of
available raw materials and the regions from which they come.

Previously, he served for 20 years in the Air Force Research Labs, as Program Manager of Nanotechnology and a Research Leader of the Materials Process Design Group. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
