Jean-Luc Amos joined Intercontinental Exchange in 2011, leading the oil market development initiative for ICE’s new and existing crude oil, refined product and related commodity Futures and derivative markets such as biofuels, petrochemicals and wet freight. Based in London, Jean-Luc has worked on major oil price benchmark transitions (Brent and Low Sulphur Gasoil Futures), new benchmarks (Murban Crude and Midland WTI Futures) and an extensive portfolio of energy transition related cash-settled derivative contracts. Prior to ICE, Jean-Luc started in the energy sector at the price reporting agency Platts, as a forward curve and futures Editor. Subsequently, he joined KBC Advanced Technologies as a Global Oil Supply Senior Analyst, focusing on global conventional and unconventional oil supply, within the Energy Economics team.
