Robert Seguin has over 30 years of experience in the nickel industry having held responsibilities for carbonyl nickel production at Vale’s refinery in Sudbury, R&D and new product development, capital projects, market development and customer end use optimizations globally. Over the last 5 years, Robert has shifted his focus to developing and executing Vale’s EV strategy which has culminated to date in several customer supply agreements. The change in nickel market dynamics spurred by demand and supply growth and the geopolitics around it is front and center in Vale Base Metals’ strategic development.
Robert is a professional engineer holding a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from McGill University and an M.B.A from Laurentian University.
