Josh Lanning has been an energy and infrastructure investment banker with CIBC Capital Markets for over 10 years. Prior to that he worked in civil engineering with the Louis Berger Group. Collectively, this experience has covered the full project lifecycle, from early design and planning stages through final investment decision, construction, commissioning, and operation, primarily representing private capital.

Josh’s current activity is focused on the power generation sector, including conventional generation, renewables, and energy storage. In addition to M&A advisory, Josh has supported clients in debt structuring, credit rating advisory, and greenfield financial advisory roles.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and an MBA in Finance from NYU.
