Donald Davidson is Senior Manager, Public Policy and Strategy at Volkswagen Group of America (VWGoA) where he is responsible for federal and state government relations in addition to strategic policy coordination and economic development. In particular, he leads VWGoA’s advocacy on the Inflation Reduction Act and advises the business on strategic opportunities across the EV supply chain. Donald is also a Board Member of the American Highway Users Alliance and the State Government Affairs Council, in addition to being a former Chair of the Alliance For Automotive Innovation Federal Affairs Committee.



Prior to joining VWGoA, Donald served as staff for two senior members of the U.S. House of Representatives, culminating in the position of Deputy Chief of Staff for House Way & Means Subcommittee Chair Sam Johnson (TX) for whom he managed the legislative team and served as chief legislative advisor.
