Tim is currently coordinating ING’s efforts in investing in and financing of the battery value chain, with a particular focus on Gigafactories. ING has been a part of all bank-financed Gigafactories in Europe, and has fulfilled a leading role in the financing of several greenfield Gigafactories (including Northvolt Ett) as adviser or pathfinder. Tim has over 15 years of experience in the Energy space and has led transactions in offshore and onshore wind, and battery storage assets throughout Europe. Before his time in Energy, Tim spent three years in the Financial Markets Corporate Sales team where he was the Global Coordinator for the TMT&HC sector. Tim graduated from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) as a management engineer in 2008. He obtained an earlier degree as a computer science engineer in 2004 from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). Tim is a CFA Charterholder.
