Mr. Lepeley joined Wealth Minerals as CEO of the Chilean subsidiary in June 2023. In his current role, he is responsible for the development of Wealth’s lithium projects in Chile. Prior to joining Wealth Minerals, Francisco held the CFO position for the iron ore and steel producer CAP S.A. and for the world’s second larger salmon producer AquaChile. Before that, Francisco spent nine years with the copper mining group Antofagasta plc in different roles across several subsidiaries. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lepeley was portfolio manager with AIG and MetLife, and also held an associate position at the New York office of the management consulting firm Kearney, where he specialized in corporate restructuring, merger integrations and strategic sourcing. Francisco holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and an MBA from The University of Chicago.
