Reinaldo Salazar Grondona is a Civil Industrial Engineer with a diploma in Mining Engineering and a Master’s degree in Economics with a specialization in Macroeconomics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
He currently serves as Manager of Studies at the National Mining Society (SONAMI), where he also directs the Center for Mining Studies and Documentation (CEMS). In this role, he has led the development of technical studies aimed at strengthening the institution’s positioning in public policy debates, including the Study of Productive Mining Districts in Chile.
Reinaldo also integrates the board of the Consejo de Políticas de Infraestructura (CPI), where he contributes to national discussions on infrastructure, investment, and development. His career has focused on the intersection between economic analysis, mining policy, and institutional strategy, consolidating a respected professional profile across both the private and public sectors.
