Viren joined Syrah Resources in March 2021 and is General Manager – Business Development and Investor Relations. He has led M&A and strategic initiatives, commercial and Government funding transactions, ASX equity raisings, customer offtake and other major commercial arrangements for Syrah. Viren is responsible for the company’s investor relations function, engaging with a global equity investor base and developing the company’s external reporting.


Prior to joining Syrah, Viren had a long career in investment banking and corporate finance. He was at J.P. Morgan’s investment bank for almost 10 years, covering major corporate and institutional clients across a variety of sectors including natural resources and advising on transformative M&A and financing transactions in Asia-Pacific. Viren is a CFA charter holder and a Bachelor of Commerce and Engineering (Civil) from the University of Melbourne.
