Chad is Rio Tinto’s acting Managing Director of the Jadar project and Critical Raw Materials Europe spokesperson as of July 2023. Chad has over 20 years’ experience in global roles within the resources sector.
He has worked on capital projects and operations in 6 continents across a wide range of commercial disciplines. Chad has supported clients in the resources and government sectors on large and complex projects in Africa, Australia and Europe.
His strengths lie in creating direction in ambiguous environments; leading high performance teams; and developing and implementing business strategies. His expertise includes negotiation, strategy, finance, taxation, business valuation, stakeholder engagement, procurement, studies, ESG and change leadership.
Chad first joined the Jadar project in 2017 after working as General Manager Project Delivery for another Rio Tinto asset in Guinea (Simandou project).
